Kidnapped

Warning: Spoilers
Unfortunately, this film from Spain is one of the worst ones we have seen lately. What's more: it is not even funny! We are asked to believe that a yuppie couple, Luis and Marta, would even consider stopping to pick up anyone on the road. What happens to them is just a tribute to their own stupidity.

Felix, a man serving time in a Spanish prison, has a limited release. His wife, Concha, has planned to get out of the country, thinking they would be better off with some of the money she has kept in Brazil, of all places. Luis and Marta, having their own problems, made a tactical mistake from which they have to pay by helping the older couple, against their better judgment.

One can blame Javier Echaniz, who wrote this mess, with the excuse it was his first contribution to the cinema, but Alfonso Arandia, the director does not bring anything new to make the film better. It is a shame because Carmen Maura can do better than the silly woman she was asked to play here.

Not having anything better to watch we gambled on watching this film, something that did not pay off. Watch it at your own risk. Sometimes, as it was our case, being abroad, one cannot choose what to see, and this was the result!
