January, 1912 This episode in my opinion is the equivalent of the dreadful 'Swedish Tiger' in 'Upstairs, Downstairs' which was the notorious low point of that particular show. Like that; the plot here is dreadful, nonsensical, and like the aforementioned; after all these years, many are still unable to follow it... However; ironically, it does lead us into the subsequent episode (am unusual follow-on story) which actually turns out to be one of the very best of the lot in: 'The New Rich'!
There is very little else that can be added about this awful episode, other than to say 'stick with it' - at least for continuity purposes so that you can really appreciate and enjoy how Thomas and Sarah come by the large house and wealth, and thus enables you to understand the subsequent episode, which is ultimately part two of the story.
