Mark Fish really did a wonderful job moving the plot forward, he also co-wrote one of the best episodes of the first season "Sort of Like a Family". I really love how the trio started the season, but what I most love about them is that they're really bright to know when to bring someone else in to shake things up. The episode delivers that thrill of uncertainty and fear with just looks and silence between Glenn Close and Rose Byrne that we hadn't seen yet since the last episodes of the first season and the it puts Patty on the verge of impotence that is delicious to watch. Such great work, Fish. Tate Donovan did an excellent job directing his first episode of the show, the pace couldn't be more right.
