This is not something you can say about many things, but everything works in this series! The darkness of the story, characters and the combination of the animation and live action completely entranced me.
I absolutely loved how the history and magic came to life before my eyes and I was transported to a different world. It was especially refreshing that the heroine was not based on the usual "pure soul" premise and she has to struggle with her own demons throughout the series. As soon as I started watching this series (I was so grateful that it is a series and not just one episode), I was overwhelmed by the cleverness of the visuals and the story was fantastic too but the unexpected part was that the music locked me in and I was hooked for good. And now I am stuck waiting very impatiently for the next installment in the Kingdoms of Grace series.
