As has been the case with every episode this year, you wonder whether we're actually supposed to like Toadie and Steph lying to the people they're supposed to care about for selfish reasons and acting self-righteous about it.Here, we have Toadie muscling in on Lucas and Sonya's friendship out of what seems to be pure jealousy and Steph trying to get rid of Lyn and Libby so they don't find out the truth about her pregnancy and potentially putting Doug in a tricky spot. There's an almost meeting between Libby and Doug at the hospital but since nothing comes of it it doesn't really serve any plot purpose.For his part, Lucas seems to be sincere about trying to help Sonya although they end up stepping over the boundary of friendship.
The other plot line sees Donna trying to bond with maybe father Nick and also trying to discover whether they are actually related or not.Just as things seem to be going well between them, the spectre of Other Nick rears its head and Donna makes a choice which could cause her problems in the future.
