Review of Caprica

Caprica (2009–2010)
6/10
This is not BSG substance
4 June 2010
Like most other BSG fans was eager to find some spirit of series in this new TV show. But as new episodes appears, sadly noticed not much substance to be found, at least till now.

For first, Caprica seems to have a different target audience than BSG. Perhaps because it enters the virtual world more straight forward, producers would think that teenagers would be main audience. Or is it the other way around? You will see lot of youth passion for changing the world. This is OK, but please start adding soon some gray shades in this black and white image.

At least till now, Caprica lacks of consistency given by great dialogs and situations encountered in BSG. Peace is quite slow, not much is happening, and character's actions seems forced and not always realistic, so I found it hard to relate to any of them. Main characters are teenagers, trying to behave above their ages, but mostly trying to much. Well teenagers or adults does not really matter, same as sci-fi or not, but please please just start adding some value in the dialogs!

Is infinite harder for sure building success from scratch rather than from choosing an already successful story and improve it. But I surely hope they will nail it and hopefully very soon, before loosing any interest.
