A man that declares to have extrasensory powers is at the center of this story. Because of visions that supposedly came to him, three young Latino women are found dead in a ditch near the Mexican border. When the FBI gets to the scene, Simon Kraft, the seer, is questioned as to how he knew about where to find the victims. As it turns out, Kraft had worked with the CIA, but now, he is on his own. The three slain women have been cut open as though to get either a baby, or something they were carrying into the United States.
Charlie Eppes, who is asked about how he sees the case, is skeptical of Kraft's powers, but Megan Reeves thinks the man knows a lot about her by what he has told her earlier. Agent Reeves has not talked with her father in ten years, Kraft, has mentioned a few things to her that makes her wonder how he knew about her.
While the investigation is going on, the agents arrive at the scene of the crime and they spot a van nearby whose tires show it might have been the one that was used for bringing the women into the desolate place where they were killed. A Mexican man, Victor Borrego, starts running away as David and Colby are trying to get him. Borrego, is a legitimate resident of the US, and he is released.
Later on, Charlie works on an equation that shows how groups of animals tend to be attracted to certain locations. Everything points to the fact the Latinas are being used as mules to smuggle drugs into the country. The agents get lucky when they follow Charlie's logic and find a terrified young woman hidden in a van. At the hospital, she passes the drugs and everything indicates Borrego is the mastermind of the operation disguised as being a group to help illegal aliens get into the country.
Peter Markle directed the screenplay written by Peter MacNicol, who is one of the principals in the series, and Andrew Dettmann. The excellent John Glover appears as the psychic Simon Kraft. The regulars and the guest cast do their usual fine job.
