Aaah Prudence Hyman, she of the perfect name. Gorgeous in every guise.

This film is wonderfully atmospheric, and has a fantastic cast (look out for the scene in which two Doctor Who's meet). Christopher Lee arrives far too late, but by that point we've seen some extraordinary feats of human endurance in the face of demonic terror - who could walk miles then write a letter as their body turns to stone ! This is not classic Hammer, sadly lacking in tatas, and with a deeply improbably premise, but still a worthy entry in the Terror Tuesday catalogue, atmosphere, good actors, an air of suspense, and a satisfying denouement.
