Death and chess
13 February 2010
Warning: Spoilers
It looked as if the destruction of The Turk chess computer meant that Andy Goode wouldn't need to be killed, unfortunately he has managed to make The Turk II, a computer which he has entered in a computer versus computer chess championship. As the winner of the competition gets a lucrative US Military contract it appears that the creation of Skynet hasn't been prevented. When he is defeated it appears that Andy will be OK but when Sarah goes to see him afterwards she finds him dead. She chases after a suspicions character she saw on her way to Andy's room but he is arrested before she can find out who he is. When Cameron recognises him they realise they must rescue him from police custody before a terminator can get to him.

This was a good episode with plenty of excitement, in particular the scene where Cameron fights another terminator in the back of a moving prison van. The episode also provides a nice introduction to a new character from the future. Some levity is is provided by a scene where Cameron shows little emotion when talking to a grief councillor about the suicide of a fellow student.
