Ultimately Disappointing
26 January 2010
What "D-Day" ("My Bloody Roommates") had in the first and second act, sadly fell apart in the final act.

This Korean ghost story had a decent, if not slightly over-the-top premise, as well as some good characters to follow. Most of the story was psychological-based, which is perfectly fine, but the payoff was disappointing.

Granted, the disappointment may not have been in how the story was written, but how those climactic scenes were shot. During that all important segment, the lighting crew must have been told to go on vacation. The scenes were so extremely dark, I could not follow the characters and could not see what was occurring.

Because of this mistreatment of the material at story's end, I can only give the movie five stars.
