Dirty Country (2007)
9/10
Charming Vulgarity
11 December 2009
I saw this documentary at a local film festival with a packed house. I can honestly say it was the only film I saw here in which the audience was giving continuous feedback- through laughter, lots and lots of laughter.

If you don't mind a pouring on of uncensored crassness in your life, then Dirty Country is gonna give it to you; give it to you straight up, from behind, sideways, and off the wall. Full of charming vulgarity, Larry Pierce, speaks to the hearts, minds, and well, other regions, through his endearing songs about all-that-is-raunch; verbalizing the thoughts many of us Americans have had at some point in our lives, just thought we would get shot if we said them out loud.

There's definitely a few amazing "I can't believe he just said that" moments- and overall, a hilarious documentary that doesn't loose sight of the art of story telling.

See it. Grab some friends- but probably not your kids or grandma- and a change of underwear. It will not disappoint.
