Beautifully shot on the streets of Vilnius
9 November 2009
Low Lights is an absolutely beautiful film, shot at night whilst driving around the streets of Vilnius, Lithuania, sometimes with the car lights off. A very simple, but engaging story, with limited dialogue from gorgeous actors. It possesses a soundtrack perfectly suited to the film's different moods too.

I love photographs of urban cityscapes at night and especially use of long exposures. At times this felt like those photographs were being created in real time.

I saw the film at Leeds International Film Festival and whilst it may not be the most technically accomplished or ambitious film of the festival, it was probably my favourite!
