One of my favourite scenes of the entire second Season is in this the sixth episode and is during the trail of Bird, is what Omar has to say. And is so great because is Omar, you know the hated homosexual right there completing his revenge for the killing f his boyfriend Brandon and yes it can be seen as a straight revenge from Omar but really who cares when by the end of the day you have Bird with a life sentence. Is hilarious seeing Omar dressed for the occasion, is quite an unusual witness and is quite satisfying what happens once Levy enters. And is Levy certainly trying, first we see Omar who he is, what he does and stuff so of course when Levy enters he tries to pay with that, to make look Omar just like the accused Bird, you know Levy is like "you say you aren't here testifying because of any deal you made with the police, that you just want to tell the truth when in fact you're the kind of person who would shoot a man and then lie to the police about it" but Omar is Omar, he is in the game, he would shoot a man only if that man is in the game too plus, well I will put the entire dialog: Levy – "you are feeding off the violence and the despair of the drug trade, you are stealing from those who themselves are stealing the life blood from our city, you are a parasite who leaches off
", Omar – "just like you man. I got the shotgun. You got the brief case. It's all in the game, though, right?". This is also an important hour for McNulty, is the complete end of Detective McNulty, you know now that the trial of Bird is over there's nothing that still put McNulty back to his days as detective and on the other hand he gives up his mission to put a name to his floater, he wanted to feel as a detective again but that is also over. Here also Elena agrees to go out with him for a diner and a movie however it will be just a night, McNulty will have to leave by the morning, is all over, there won't be a full reconciliation. There's boring work for the detail, is boring but by the end of the day they will have precious information.
