hands down the absolute worst movie ever filmed...
9 January 2009
Warning: Spoilers
I will say one positive thing before launching into my criticism of the film...it was an interesting story concept... but casting was done very badly... the actors were all way over the top, many were stiff, robotic and acted without any personality of any kind.. the dialogue was absolutely horrendous, cheesy and inane. A waste of film with a several minute montage of hampton beach was completely pointless... the score, while interesting musically did not in any way fit with the mood of the story. The final scene with the main character walking out on the beach with the killer was absolutely unrealistic..anyone who knows the man is a murderer would not confront the guy and then go for a walk at night on a deserted beach with them...totally ridiculous. And the scene with the main character and the kid who dreams of being a writer was completely inane and useless dialogue that lent nothing to the story and only served to confuse confound and astound the viewer as to why it was even part of the story. The newspaper reporters acted nothing like real reporters. .. of all the movies i have watched in my 40 years and reviewed, critiqued and discussed it was the absolute worst... but i do give the writer credit for putting it together, despite it being a waste of time and energy for everyone involved...my only hope is that anyone involved who hopes to make it in the business does not use it on their reel.
