I just saw an earlier version from this movie ( Los novios de mis hijas - 1964 )and the mother is the same actress, Amparo Rivelles, as well as Carlos father, Gen. Avelar, Carlos Lopez Moctezuma. Seems like in the remake ( Los problemas de mama - 1970 ) they kept the major roles to more exprimented actors and changed only the boys and girls. Show of the changing times, is the fact that in the second version, one of the girls is married, and it was not the oldest, which was not usual maybe in the 60s, meaning that if somebody got married skipping the oldest, she would stay single for the rest of her life, so she could take care of her mother. Is very interesting anyway, as a document of how times have changed...
