Creepshow 3 (2006)

** (out of 4)

From the same team that brought you the horrid Day of the Dead 2 comes this direct to DVD sequel to the George Romero/Stephen King series. The first film deals with a bitchy teenage girl who starts to become a mutant. The second story is about a dorky security guard who gets a radio that has a sexy voice that teaches him to be cool. The third story is about a serial killing hooker who meets her match when her next victim turns out to be a vampire. Next up is the story of a Professor who appears to have created a robot for his next wife. Finally, a mean doctor kills a homeless man with a dirty hot dog only to have the man come back. I was expecting one of the worst films ever made but it turned out the movie wasn't too bad. The first story is downright horrid and really causes a train wreck for the rest of the film but the second and third stories finally pick up. The fourth story is rather boring but the twist is pretty funny and the fifth story turns out to be pretty worthless. This is really a name only sequel so fans of the first two films will probably hate this but judging the film on its own makes it an okay time killing.
