Aerosmith: Live Texxas Jam '78 (1989 TV Special)

Catches the era brilliantly
15 November 2007
When this was filmed I doubt they realised just how well it captured that era in time, not only because of the band looking so young (obviously) but with the shots of the audience and the crew setting up and people just hanging around prior to the show, it really does catch the moment in time well. It was reportedly one of the hottest summers at that time and it shows that with shots out into the audience with the sun blazing down and the fried egg clip! Aside from all that the band were at the top of their game and put out an excellent performance which in my opinion is filmed well for the time, also during the show Ted Nugent makes an appearance during the song Milk Cow Blues as an added bonus. All in all this is a great film of a band in their prime and gives a great impression of that summers day in Texas in 1978.
