This particular Popeye was different and both "cute" and "funny" at the same time, especially the end which has little "Swee Pea" taking the spinach, saving the day and singing the final song you hear at the end of each story.
This was transpired because Popeye works at the "Useless Machine Works," Olive comes by one day with Swee Pea in the stroller and then - not like a good mother - doesn't keep an eye on the toddler. While Olive and Popeye are having lunch nearby, the little one strolls into factory. He pulls a switch and all the machinery starts in motion. From that point come all the sight gags of the cartoon: the baby narrowly escaping death about 10 times and Popeye taking a beating chasing after him on all the various assembly lines. Olive comes in the factory and makes it worse.
Once Swee' Pea enters the factory, this is non-stop action and fun to watch.
