As usual for writers from the other side of the country, they continually make up stuff that simply does not exist in the state of Florida.
Florida does not have, nor has ever had, a Gun Registration Database. They do not register guns, nor do they have and keep a database of fired test rounds from guns not yet used in a crime.
This is a common error the writers for this show continually make.
I often wonder if this is an innocent mistake on the part of ignorant writers, or a subtle plot to brainwash the masses into thinking all guns are or should be registered.
Either way - I wish they'd just do a little studying and get it right.
