Young Dracula (2006–2014)
10/10
A modern day vampire tackles modern day problems

Warning: Spoilers
This show is about Vlad, the son of Dracula. According to it's plot Count D lived on and had two children, Vlad and Ingrid. CD prefers Vlad due to the inheritance system and so encourages him in vampiric ways, but Vlad doesn't want to be weird, he wants to be normal. This is only made worse when Vlad and the family move to a castle- yes, a castle- overlooking an English town and Vlad attends school. Not a bad job, this show, but the vampire jokes do tire a bit after a while. The nemesis of the Draculas are the Van Helsings, vampire slayers. The many possibilities and plots that stem from this situation are used. It is quite an enjoyable show, and one good point is the humour, which is really quite funny. If you added a laughter track it would be a comedy show. The English town is used effectively as a nice backdrop, and isn't overly used to further the irony of the Draculas location away from Transylvania, instead relying on their character. A good show, but those stakes that look like ice cream cones ain't gonna kill nobody.
