Kordavision has amazing historical footage of the Cuban revolution, Korda and fellow photographers, in their journey to record the revolution and life in Cuba. Without getting into a lot of politics, but with a love of the people involved, Kordavision is a great people-to-people message from Cuba to the world. This is a masterful retelling of the life of one of the great photo-journalists in the world. Since the film doesn't go into a lot of explanation of historical incidents, it motivates the viewer to find out more about Cuba's history. The U.S.'s blackout of objective information on Cuba makes this film important to improve relations on the human relations front. Sandoval's graphic arts expertise comes alive at the beginning of the film, drawing you into a trendy-looking artsy commodification of Che, and then the story behind it. Through the medium of photography as an art, history gets told through its actors. While the script of that history is somewhat missing, you are nevertheless uplifted with the love for the human spirit that comes through. While it seemed like it was going to end several times, and then kept going, it never got tiring. The musical score is upbeat and lively, making the Cuban spirit contagious. Even the sense of humor in Korda's eulogy captures the joyful spirit of the Cuban people.
