Wow! What a shock! A movie that functions as both a wonderfully nasty slasher film and a competent, if not totally cohesive thriller. It's good script is aided by a game performance from Melissa Sue Anderson and the very reliable Glenn Ford.
How this film has been lost all these years is a total mystery to me. It's a fine example of the slasher sub-genre's peak. The plot has tons of twists and turns and bizarrely unusual ending. The movie also has a real mean streak. No one is safe from the killer.
The killer's black gloves also gives the film an Italian giallo feel, which helps in distinguishing the film from it's contemporaries.
Give this one a chance. You'll never look at shishkabobs the same way again.
