A good one for children. With an interesting line up
15 January 2007
This movie is very imaginative with it use of effects and the story is effective in entertain children. The cinema roared with the sound of children laughing at the funny expressions made by Williams and Stiller. In some places the humour was directed at all age groups to enjoy, but was basic at best.

The movie seemed to be a little hollow in terms of character building and the story line basic and plainly obvious (but again its a movie for the children, so thats understandable). There are some great cameos such as Owen Wilson and Steve Cogan, who for me were the savours of the film. They have great chemistry on screen.

The main problem with this movie was something I thought would be the most interesting. Ricky, playing the museum director. Has he ever heard of the word 'typecasting' before. He is a very funny man, but played the same role as he does in the Office and Extras. This seemed more boring than funny. I didn't crack a smile once when he was on screen.
