Review of Klan

Klan (1997–2023)

Very well done

Mind it, Klan has become a sort of a cult serial in Poland over the years. The lives and fates of the family, played quite well by good (although not the best) Polish actors, have been widely discussed and thought over by critics, watching public as well. This serial tells in a slow, slightly moody mode, about a family, their internal problems, their children and their friends. From time to time, the serial comes to show simple people - the police officers at the Warsaw Central Railroad Station, the nice young lady and her boyfriend, and on top of it all, the serial deals with gossips and how destructive they can be. Not an ideal work, often too slow and too banal, but still, this is a typical family saga serial.
