A gang is after marked money and affidavits in Clark Kent's offices. The goons hired to go get them come back empty-handed, but the boss has a plan: he produces another hood - a Jimmy Olsen lookalike named "Kid Collins." They then hijack the real Olsen (Jack Larson) and replace him with the kid who goes after the goods, which he finds in Kent's apartment. Meanwhile, he also discovers a Superman costume in Kent's hidden closet. (Which Clark explains the very end of the show)
Along the way, we get some humorous stuff as the fake, tough Olsen called Lois "honey" and Perry White "dad," and generally acts very un-Olsen like.
Things get more complicated when the real Olsen escapes, and two Olsens are running around as the bad guys keep trying to break into Kent's safe. It's a pretty wild episode and an entertaining one. Kudos to Jack Larson for a job well done in both roles.
