great story and great ensemble cast: an interesting drama
10 April 2006
Black and Blue is a surprising independent film that I had the chance to watch with friends during a screening in a movie theater. I could not believe that the topic of this film was real. It's very interesting to learn about those things. I don't want to give away the subject of the story but every parent with a child should watch this film and be more aware of what is going on in the world. I was touched by the woman lead Tara Stewart and also by the male lead Philippe Durand. Being from Europe but living in the US, I really related to the story. The ensemble cast is wonderful and makes the whole story believable and truly scary. It was a surprise to see a film like this, with not too much advertising, being so convincing and frantic, and always interesting to watch. I told all my friends to go see this film and I hope to see more independent films in the future.
