This documentary is a wonderful teaching tool for future teachers! As a future teacher I found myself in awe of all I was learning and how much my eyes were opened to the issues that are out there, that many are not aware of. A wonderful tool for helping future teacher recognize the importance of culturally sensitive and culturally responsive teaching! I found that one student in my class tended to often make comments about "getting undocumented immigrants out of this country" Then after we watched the documentary, I saw her crying, and I think the movie touched her deeply, giving her an understanding and compassion so needed.
