Good to look at, frightening even without visuals
2 March 2006
"The Eternal Present" is the reason people seek out little-known independent films. It's visually interesting and the creepy, yet subtle soundtrack collides with every horror that the main character (Tim) encounters. I could not get Romero's "Martin" out of my mind for some reason, maybe because of him, or perhaps it was the black and white similarity. If you've ever woke up to less than pleasant sights, sounds and thoughts, you'll probably relate to the plight of this poor sap. The acting from most of the other characters is ordinary at best, however the film is not. Be sure to listen to the commentary to hear what the heck the film maker was trying to accomplish. I can't wait to see his next offering.
