When it started I had an open mind about Richard Dean Anderson being replaced by Bill Browder and with the "special appearance" of Claudia Black. May I add that I enjoyed Farscape and that I bought the whole series but towards the end (seasons 3 & 4) it began to go "a bit loony". It appears to me that Stargate season 10 is "going loony" too. I don't like Bill Browder's "swagger" - he seems to play a far less professional role than did Richard Dean A. - not very logical in such a situation. Claudia Black has none of the femininity nor the character of Amanda Tapping. She has no "pazzaz" - shame.
Beau Bridges, too, isn't at all "in his place" - it's hard to believe that his "character" would be put in charge of such a project - or are US generals like that? - nothing like Norman Schwarzkopf.
Let's see how the other episodes go (over this side of the Atlantic) but it looks like it's off to a bad start.
