A little piece of our childhoods to be revisited!!

I remember watching this as a child and being terrified of THE MUD MONSTER!!!! I remember curling up to my dad on the couch while we watched this and I think that this might have been one of the first scary movies I ever watched--and I was hooked for life! I recall the hand being cut off in the door and it grabbing someone from the bottom of the stairs and was relieved that they finally found something that would kill it--SALT!! I always remembered seeing a movie about a Mud Monster, but no one else did. Every once in a while someone would say it sounded familiar. I was so tickled to see here that others had the very same memories as I did and that I wasn't having false memories! There is a site called The Internet Movie Critic and he actually has some DVDs of this movie, for those who are interested. I would love to see this again just to see if it is still as scary as I remembered. I also don't understand what kind of legal issues have kept this movie from being re-aired. What a shame! Especially when so many people are interested in seeing it again--a little piece of our childhoods to be revisited!!
