Well, I watched this film for the first time when I was a little boy. When I was 6 years actually, and recently I have watched it with my family again on DVD. It is very enjoyable and children will certainly like the main character, Schlupp. It is a robot. Actually one of many robots on it's green home planet. But this one is different than the other billions of Schlupps. This one has a soul and it's own will.
So they decide that this robot must be disposed off and they shoot it into space. But it misses the junk planet and hits our little earth.
And then some funny things start to happen.
When watching it again, I was amazed how well done the scenes and devices were. Well, it is the "Augsburger Puppenkiste" after all.
