Caesars 24/7 (2005– )
Introducing John Barragan. . .
29 August 2005
An attempt at bringing an inside look at the goings-on of Caesar's Palace to the world, this hour-long television show has a slightly classier and less watered down feel than your average reality series. Although still containing enough melodrama to appeal to mass audiences, there is an effort here approaching the artistic as far as post-millennium shows are concerned.

The premiere episode of this A&E casino-based reality program featured a talented young man named John "Johnny B." Barragan, a hip-hop artist in the making. Johnny also reappeared a few episodes later in the series and his story of a struggling rapper trying to make it in "the business" through connections with Ghalib Ghallab, a jazz pianist at Caesar's whose son is a record producer, was left open-ended. I, for one, hope to see him again. Having seen a few of Mr. Barrigan's student films and read a children's story he has written, I can honestly say that this is a name to remember. This up-and-coming director/writer/musician is someone to look out for and not merely just another reality show 'throw-away' hack. So keep your eyes open. . .
