Interesting concept
9 August 2005
I saw this at the recent Brisbane International Film Festival and i was quite surprised that you could make a movie around the phrase "you are what you eat".

The movie tells the story of the last couple of hours of a man on death row and the warden tasked with executing him. The movie is a series of flashbacks as the warden constructs a letter to send to the man's mother. As he does so the audience is given several different versions of what could have happened. Each version begins with his last meal. Each time it is different and each time his reaction to his impending death is different.

Strong performances from both of the leads carry the movie which starts strong but after about 4 or 5 meals i began to lose interest generally and it was only these performances that kept me there. Good movie pity about the ending.
