Urgh. A busty young lady is marooned on a desert island along with three sleazy single men, who compete alternatively for her affections while adapting to the pressures of life in isolation. This is basically the set-up for a series of comedy sketches, of which precisely none are funny and interesting and all are boring, pathetic and hugely embarrassing for the cast and crew. This kind of fifth-rate vaudeville shenanigans was dated even over 50 years, so today's audiences will probably find it intolerable (I know I did).
By far the most irritating of all the characters is the sex starved middle-aged professor with glasses, unfortunately the script seems to think he is the star of the piece and obliges him with plenty of scenes, all of which are the cinematic equivalent of nails scraped across a blackboard. And if it's titillation you're after, you can forget it.. this is strictly a U rated affair, with a few shots of our heroine in her bikini but little else to set your pulse racing. At least the birds seem to be having a blast, there are some rather odd moments where we get random cutaways to some cackling parrots, which presumably were added to pad out the running time.
By the way, stay put for the last 15 minutes when they get rescued by a liner (Hurray!).. the captain of the ship has the most appalling glued-on beard I've ever seen. In fact, I almost missed the gripping conclusion while counting the amount of times it almost slipped off. This was by far the most interesting thing in the picture. So anyway to sum up.. I saw this on a new cable channel called bad.movies.TV (Figures). I was hoping it would be one of those so-bad-it's-good kinda films. It wasn't. It was just bad. Don't even think about it.. 1/10
