Saturday Morning Snore-Fest

I'm sorry, but Mary-Kate & Ashley need to like, get hit by a truck or something. That way they can't bombard young girls and their parents with anymore of their crap. Let's see, not counting the series that made them popular in the first place, the twins have books, a line of clothing, really horrible video games, about a hundred direct-to-video movies where they travel to exotic locations, one or two other shows that make Sister, Sister look like Masterpiece Theater, action figures, and oh, this really stupid animated cartoon. What's really odd is the title: Mary-Kate & Ashley In Action, because the two wannabe stars do not play themselves, but secret agents named Amber and Misty. I guess the creators figured that without the recognizable names attached to the series nobody would bother. Although, after just watching one very dumb episode, I can safely conclude that even MK&A's biggest fans would stick around to watch a whole season. Which episode did I see? Well it featured Mary-Kate & Ashley (oh wait, I mean Amber & Misty, or...never mind) trying to stop an evil musical villain named CD (oh please) from playing his horrible music at a Washington peace conference. After the audience gets an insanely boring Magic School Bus lesson on sound waves the main girls DJ for the conference and all of the stuffy ambassadors shake their groove thang. Oh, and there's a robotic Scottish terrier who helps the girls in their missions. Yeah, sounds like great stuff, doesn't it? If you like to keep your kids away from flash-in-the-pan crap like this, then run fast. 1/4 Stars
