Marin is a your average 13 year old teenager. Well, average if you count the fact that she has a blue armored 200 year old Monomachian for a bodyguard. Melan Blue, the aforementioned Monomachian is here to protect poor little Marin from evil Monomachians that try to kill/kidnap her and take her to Brigadoon, the city/planet that suddenly appears in our sky in an alternate version of the 1970's. A heartwarming tale as Melan gets "humanized" by Marin and her family.
Brigadoon's animation is flawless, and the storyline is goes at a relaxing pace (so far. I only have the two DVDs), changing between scenes of intense action and cute humor.
Marin is a caring girl, who doesn't want others to suffer because of her (this seems to happen a lot in the series so far).
Melan at the beginning, is a rather unemotional and honest character, who, at first, doesn't understand Marin.
