Jam-packed with naked women and gore!
2 May 2004
Necro Files 2 is pure, cheesy horror fun, jam-packed with naked women and over-the-top gore. It reunites much of the cast from the cult classic original. The film begins when we are introduced to Greg Logan (Greg Lewis), a crazed porno film editor by day and skull-masked killer by night. As the wise-cracking "Skull-Face", he embarks on a cannibalistic killing spree while two Seattle detectives (both returning from the first film), investigate. They are the lovably inept but well-meaning Sloane (Gary Browne) and his ruthless partner, the drugged-out, "Bad Lieutenant" wacko, Manners (Steve Sheppard).

It turns out Greg/Skull-Face is actually the brother of Rod Logan (Isaac Cooper), the cannibal rapist (turned flesh-eating zombie) from the first Necro Files film. Things get really insane when the drunken brother accidentally reanimates the flesh-eating zombie by barfing and urinating on his grave... after he leaves the cemetery, the grave is hit by a bolt of lightning and the zombie comes back to life! Now TWO cannibal rapists are on the loose, one living, one dead, and each unaware of the other until they bump into each other toward the end of the film. The devilish duo gleefully go on a last minute "tag-team" rampage of rape, cannibalism and murder (including the worst car chase in movie history---though perhaps the only one to include a zombie). Eventually, the evil antics come to an end when the cops show up and shoot it out! Did I mention the zombie has a rubbery, three foot erection levitating out of his pants in practically every scene? Who thinks this stuff up? Necro Files 2 is rude, crude and ridiculous, fit late night fare for fans of "so bad it's good" movies and those zombie gorehounds nursing a fondness for the beer and naked ladies (you know who you are!).

The DVD is packed with extras, and they are all great! Writer/Producer Todd Tjersland, Director Ron Carlo and Zombie Isaac Cooper all are on hand for the wild and raunchy audio commentary over both the feature and all deleted scenes. They obviously had a lot of fun making the movie and have even more fun laughing at the end result and themselves (they don't take themselves too seriously). They also provide amusing behind the scenes anecdotes that enhance your enjoyment of the film and make repeated viewing more fun once you know all the crazy stuff that went on behind the scenes. There are many fairly lengthy deleted scenes with even more nudity, a photo gallery, trailer, and "Behind The Screams" featurette. The 8 minute featurette is hilarious, featuring how the zombie make-up was created, interviews with cast and crew, and even the zombie eating a boob sandwich and playing the film's theme song on the piano! Movies don't get any wilder or weirder than this, and Necro Files 2 delivers what it promises. If you enjoyed the first film, you'll like this one, too.
