This has to be one of the worst films I have seen in a while. A friend convinced me to watch his roommate's copy after I showed him the original. Pointless, absolutely pointless and difficult to sit through. "The Limey" was a better remake of the original "Get Carter", though I believe Dobbs and Soderbergh might cringe at the idea of "The Limey" being a remake. But really, when you look at the plot, "The Limey" is a remake and far superior to this little monster. Also, listen to the way the remake is scored and compare it to Budd's original - night and day. Heck, compare it to the Limey's score... Just another display of Hollywood's complete disregard for film on levels - except as a potential money maker.
