Winona Ryder is the "patient" and Whoopi Goldberg is the asylum nurse. A good story is told of a young woman (Ryder) who doesn't seem to fit into normalcy and quickly moves to a mental institution to get cured. In there she discovers friendship and compares her situation with those of the other inmates.
