9/10
A film that touches on human frailty
6 October 2000
This film that really is more of a playwright than a movie, hit my strings. The script is brilliant and touches deep into human frailty. The acting is terrific. Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman were at their best. Shooting, cutting and music editing were done in a novel, smooth and enjoyable manner. The film has a very slow build up and might upset the impatient audience but this film caught me in a nice surprise. I give it a well-deserved 9.
