This isn't a great movie but it is a solid movie that should appeal to American viewers as well. It's very much a date movie. Three friends make a bet to see who can locate and woo a former girl friend. During their search they discover women who may be far better suited for them. Hsu Chi is delightful as a young policewoman madly in love with a gangster who likes her too much to endanger her life and career by letting her associate with him. This movie doesn't descend into the banal and trivial scenes that often pad Hong Kong movies. Even the two fight scenes develop from the flow of the movie. If you can rent it it's a good way to spend a couch potato evening.
