Zucker/Abrahams/Zucker... what else can you expect but a hilarious movie?

Jim Abrahams, David Zucker, Jerry Zucker and Pat Proft write a hilarious movie putting Leslie Nielsen as Lt. Frank Drebin, not the wisest cop out there, but sure as hell the funniest. The movie starts off with Leslie saving America from the heads of major Islamic countries... including Yasser Arafat played by a person who's last name is Katz. But it gets way funnier as Leslie Nielsen is put on a case to protect Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to L.A. Leslie Nielsen is just hilarious. Everything from words to visual jokes (like the beaver and bingo jokes and the hilarious scene where he's out on the ledge of the building after setting Ludwig's apartment on fire). Priscilla Presley is delightfully funny as his love interest (the safe-sex scene was cute). George Kennedy and Ricardo Montalban are funny as well. And before his controversial trial O.J. played Nordberg, who has a very bad streak of luck (unlike the real O.J.). Also look for Weird Al Yankovic's cameo as himself and the late Nancy Marchand as the mayor.

Doesn't beat Airplane! which will forever be the Zucker/Abrahams/Zucker classic, but is very very funny.
