"Q" is a horror movie that combines monster movie elements and police story elements with some black comedy thrown in for good measure. The result is a funny/scary combination. The cops of the N.Y.P.D. are baffled over a series of gruesome deaths. These killings are the work of a winged serpent that's terrorizing New York City. Michael Moriarty stars in a hilarious performance as the loser who discovers where the winged serpent's nest is located, and attempts to cash in on it for some big bucks. The special effects are cheap but fun in an amusing way. I would have liked the movie better if they had shown the monster a little more often. Still, "Q" is an interesting little film that's funny, scary, and good fun.
