A late silent oater that's worth a look.
31 March 2003
I feel so luck to have caught this rare film at CINEFEST the annual early & rare film festival in Syracuse, NY - March 2003. More film buffs should support these festivals and share their discoveries on the IMDB so other film fans can track these old titles down. SILKS AND SADDLES (1929, Universal, D: Robert F. Hill) Jockey Johnny Spencer (Richard Walling) throws a race to impress a sexy girl (Sybil Morrissey). Later, after becoming a racetrack bum, he redeems himself to win the boss's daughter (Marion Nixon) by steering a dangerously spirited horse to victory. Co-starring Montagu Love & David Torrence. A late silent oater presented in a stunning tinted print!
