Poll: Marvel's Dazzler Casting for Alison Blaire
Marvel's most famous singer, The Disco Dazzler (aka Dazzler), was originally planned to be a big media launch in the late 70’s where disco music ruled pop charts. Launch included a tie-in motion picture produced by Filmworks, a singer and record album with Casablanca Records, and a comic series from Marvel. Glam rock and the band "K.I.S.S." was referenced for project launch of Casablanca's future disco queen. Actresses Grace Jones and Bo Derek were inspirations for character design of Dazzler.
