‘Thunderbolts*’ Finally Passes Dwayne Johnson’s Infamous 37% Rotten Tomatoes Superhero One-and-Done at Domestic Box Office

Thunderbolts* has been in theaters for nearly a month now, and it’s finally passed one of the most talked-about superhero movies of the decade at the box office. Although the Marvel team-up film has been extremely well-received by both critics and audiences, it looks poised to finish its run as a bottom-10-grossing MCU movie at the box office. At the time of writing, Thunderbolts* has collected $171 million domestically and $181 million internationally for a worldwide total of $353 million. After passing Eternals this weekend, this $171 million domestic total is also enough to move Thunderbolts* past Black Adam, the 2022 DC movie led by Dwayne Johnson. Once Thunderbolts* earns another $5 million at the domestic box office, which will likely happen this week, it will move past Captain America: The First Avenger as well.
