Scarlett Johansson is this year’s highest-paid actress, raking in $40.5 million in pretax earnings between June 1, 2017 and June 1, 2018.
According to Forbes, Johansson quadrupled her earnings from 2017 to bump Emma Stone from the No. 1 spot. Last year, Stone banked $26 million, dethroning Jennifer Lawrence, who had topped Forbes’ ranking two years in a row.
Johansson’s role as Black Widow in Marvel’s “The Avengers” has made the actress extremely profitable, especially with the recent film “Infinity War” grossing a whopping $2 billion at the global box office.
