John Wells said that filming “August: Osage County” was a wonderful experience, which is not to say it was easy. “This kind of material requires a lot of focus and hard work from the actors every day. One of the jobs of the director is to make certain it’s an atmosphere where they can do their best, where it’s not chaotic, so they can focus because everybody around them is focused.
