In a recent poll, Gold Derby asked “Australian Survivor” viewers to name the person they most wanted to win the current “Blood V Water” season and the results were, well, all over the place. Five contestants earned double-digit support in our poll results (see below), with “juicy” David Goodchild coming in first place at 25%. He’s the father of superfan Briana Goodchild, who was eliminated way back in the second episode. Editor’s note: this poll was conducted prior to the “Purgatory” twist that sent several voted out cast members to a deserted island in the hopes of one day returning to the game.
Here are the complete poll results for who “Australian Survivor” viewers claimed they wanted to win “Blood V Water”:
25% — David Goodchild
19% — Christine “Chrissy” Zaremba
13% — Shayelle “Shay” Lajoie
12% — Samantha “Sam” Gash
12% — Jordie Hansen
8% — Mark Wales

After five weeks of competition, only 11 castaways remain in the running to win “Australian Survivor: Blood V Water.” That number includes three pairs and five singles. Of these 11 finalists, who do You want to win “Blood V Water”? Vote in our “Australian Survivor” Top 11 poll below.

Phase two of the competition has officially kicked into high gear, with the Red (Blood) tribe and the Blue (Water) tribe merging into one group. Khanh Ong and Melissa “Mel” Chiang were the first two boots of the Purple (Lava) tribe, and they’re both now members of the jury that will decide who ultimately wins the $500,000 grand prize.
Of the remaining 11 players, only Mark is holding onto a hidden immunity idol. Amazingly, he decided to keep that information from his wife Sam when the tribes merged, claiming he would have told her at a later date.

For all you “Survivor” fans who aren’t able to watch “Australian Survivor: Blood V Water” and see Sandra Diaz-Twine try to win her third career crown, here’s your weekly update. (Warning: this article contains spoilers for what has already aired!) Gold Derby has recapped Episode 1, Episode 2, Episode 3, Episode 4, Episode 5, Episode 6, Episode 7 and Episode 8, and we’ll be covering the show all throughout the season.
When Sandra first arrived on the set of “Australian Survivor” Season 7, she did so in style … in a helicopter. Most of her fellow players instantly recognized the two-time American champ from “Pearl Islands” and “Heroes vs. Villains” and were a bit starstruck to find out they’d be playing with her down under. Host Jonathan Lapaglia revealed this season’s theme to be “Blood V Water,” and Sandra brought along a secret weapon in the form of her daughter, Alanna “Nina” Twine.

The third episode of “Australian Survivor: Blood V Water” began with King Khanh (aka “MasterChef” alum Khanh Ong) and former contestant Mark Wales joining forces to create a secret alliance. But this episode will most definitely be remembered for one man’s epic oopsie at tribal council, in which he threw someone under the bus who had been adamantly trying to save him. Yikes!

“If I find out someone is after me, forget it, it’s over for you,” warns Sandra Diaz-Twine at the top of the episode. “I don’t forgive, I don’t forget.” In fact, that’s exactly what’s happening on the other side of the camp, as David Goodchild is trying to rally the...

The second episode of “Australian Survivor: Blood V Water” followed a similar trajectory to the season premiere, with the Blue (Water) team winning the reward competition and the Red (Blood) team taking the immunity challenge. (That meant Red tribe member Sandra Diaz-Twine was safe yet again.) In the end, someone got their torch snuffed thanks in part to their Bff in the game refusing to save them with their brand new idol — talk about drama!

The season premiere of “Australian Survivor: Blood V Water” aired January 31 on Network 10 and 10play on demand (but sadly not in the United States). Among the 24 castaways were former Nrl player Michael “Croc” Crocker and his sister-in-law Christine “Chrissy” Zaremba, and Chrissy shocked the fandom during Episode 1 thanks to her true lack of knowledge of the long-running reality TV show.
“I’m learning as I go,” Chrissy admitted at the start of the season premiere. “I’ve got to cram in how to play this game.” She’s a stay-at-home mom who “keeps it all together” for her three adopted kids, but she hasn’t really seen a lot of “Survivor” — like, almost none at all. “I don’t know the game enough yet, but I think my competitiveness will get me over the line,” she hoped.
Croc, meanwhile, said he wanted to tackle “Survivor” the same way he...

Worldwide interest in “Australian Survivor” has never been higher, and that’s no doubt thanks to the casting of Sandra Diaz-Twine, the iconic American player who was the first person to win twice (“Pearl Islands” and “Heroes vs. Villains”). Now, Queen Sandra is back in the hunt for her third career crown, and she’s bringing her daughter, Alanna “Nina” Twine, along with her. This year’s cycle is “Blood V Water” and will feature 12 pairs of loved ones duking it out Down Under for the ultimate prize of $500,000.
