The “Bad Boys” set mottos have changed quite a bit between the first film and “Bad Boys: Ride or Die,” according to Will Smith.
When asked about training for the action scenes, Smith told Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show” that the motto now is “safety first,” but that wasn’t the case for the original.
“That’s probably the biggest difference between ‘Bad Boys’ One and Two and ‘Bad Boys’ Four,” Smith said. “We’re very careful. Safety first. It used to be safety third. Safety third was our motto on the set for ‘Bad Boys’ one.”
Fallon followed up asking the craziest thing Smith and co-star Martin Lawrence did across the entire “Bad Boys” franchise. Lawrence reminds Smith of a specific car stunt he had to do in “Bad Boys 2.”
“We were doing this scene on the causeway in ‘Bad Boys 2’ where they’re throwing the cars off the thing,...

Mixed martial arts star Conor McGregor attempts to prove the skeptics wrong as he gears up for a comeback in the first full trailer for the forthcoming Netflix docuseries McGregor Forever.
The spot released Tuesday focuses on the Ultimate Fighting Championship standout’s attempt to return to fighting after suffering a broken leg during his UFC 264 loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021. Netflix’s McGregor Forever will consist of four hour-long episodes.
“I’ve been fighting my entire life,” the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion says in the footage. “It’s what I was put here to do.”
The trailer shows McGregor recovering in a hospital bed from the fateful bout, along with pundits speculating on whether he is still capable of competing at an elite level. It’s down with the pens and up with the picket signs. The Writers Guild of America (WGA) has gone on strike, for the first time in 15 years. In-person demands for a new contract from the rank and file will begin today at Amazon/Culver Studios, CBS Radford and CBS Television City, Disney’s Burbank headquarters, Netflix’s Hollywood headquarters, and the Fox, Sony, Paramount, Warner Bros and Universal studio lots in Los Angeles. In New York, picketing will occur at Peacock’s Newfront at Center415 and Netflix’s Manhattan offices.
The WGA’s primary concern is that studios and streamers will not provide work guarantees, creating, in essence, a “gig economy” for writers. Newer shows, as you might have noticed, are around 10 episodes per season, unlike the old days 20 or so. Despite this, there are soaring production expenses affecting other departments, while pay rates for writers have stagnated, and residuals have shrunk.

Fox Entertainment has greenlit “Rescue: Hi-Surf,” a Hawaiian lifeguard drama from “Shameless” producer John Wells and “Outsiders” writer Matt Kester. The series will be co-produced by Warner Bros. Television and is set to debut sometime in the 2023-2024 season.
According to the official synopsis from Fox, “‘Rescue: Hi Surf’ is an action-packed drama that follows the personal and professional lives of the heavy-water lifeguards who patrol and protect the North Shore of O’ahu—the most famous and dangerous stretch of coastline in the world.”
“Each episode will feature these dedicated, heroic, and adrenaline-seeking first-responders saving lives in the difficult and often life-threatening conditions of Hawaii’s Seven Mile Miracle.” Kester will write the first episode with Wells directing the first two episodes.
“I’ve lived on the North Shore of O‘ahu for most of my life, and these are our heroes, the most extraordinary extreme athletes anywhere,” said Kester.

Ultimate Fighting Championship standout Conor McGregor refuses to be down for the count in the first look at Netflix’s upcoming docuseries McGregor Forever.
The streamer announced Tuesday that the four-part unscripted series focusing on the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion’s comeback efforts will launch May 17. Preview footage for the project that hails from producer Religion of Sports shows McGregor recovering in a hospital bed after sustaining injuries including a broken leg during his UFC 264 loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
“I thought it was over as well — that’s why I flipped into a different mode,” McGregor says about concerns that the match could end his career. “Now, it was the adrenaline as well, and I know I would have calmed down, and part of me is thinking, ‘Jesus, imagine it was just taken from me like that.’ I would be a different person, and it was a bit scary,...
